FAQ

About the Designs

Who designs the artwork? Every design is an original illustration by me, Dr. Pauline Pilialoha Yap, a practicing veterinarian. I create each illustration by hand, refine and digitize it before it is printed on the products I offer. Every piece is completely original — no stock images or clip art.

Is the artwork original? Yes, absolutely. Every design starts as my own hand-drawn digital illustration. You won't find these designs anywhere else.

What inspired your designs? My inspiration comes from the animals I care for and the people who love them. I am a nature lover in general. I love animals in the ocean and in the wild on top of my love for my own furry family, which is at the heart of every design. I wanted to create art that celebrates the bond between people and animals in a way that feels authentic and artistic rather than generic. T-shirts are just the start.

Will you be adding new designs? Yes! New designs will be added regularly and new products will also be offered. Follow me on Instagram and tiktok to be the first to know when new artwork drops.

Products

What types of shirts do you carry? I currently offer two collections — text-only designs and graphic with text designs, available in a variety of sizes and colors.

What sizes are available? My shirts are available in XS to 5XL. Please refer to the detailed size chart on each product page for exact measurements before ordering.

How do I find my correct size? Each product page includes a full size chart with actual measurements. I recommend measuring a shirt that fits you well and comparing it to the size chart rather than going by your usual size.

What colors are available? Available colors vary by design and are shown on each individual product page.

About Dr. Yap

Are you a real veterinarian? Yes! I am a licensed to practice veterinarian medicine in Hawai'i and Colorado. My love for animals goes far beyond the clinic — it's the inspiration behind every design in this shop.

Can I ask you veterinary questions through the shop? As much as I love talking about animals, this shop's contact page is for order-related questions only and I cannot provide veterinary medical advice. A valid veterinary-client-patient relationship is required in order to diagnose or treat a patient or to prescribe medication. At the minimum, this requires a physical examination at least every 12 months. For medical concerns about your pet, please contact your local veterinarian.

Still have questions? I'd love to hear from you! Head over to my [Contact page] and I'll get back to you within 1–2 business days.
